IP
Systems has engineering expertise from more than 1000 field installations and
can help you implement the most effective air filtration solution.
Laser fume applications served are marking, cutting and
engraving on many different materials including metals, plastics, printed
circuit boards, glass, paper, wood, leather, rubber and others.

Fume Filtration
|
Laser fumes generated from cutting,
marking or engraving are in many cases hazardous and
should be removed from the working environment.
Further, extracting the fumes away from the laser
head reduces the risk of fumes settling on laser
optics and impairing the marking
quality.
Selecting
a filter unit:
-
Airflow
Lasers inside a cabinet require airflow rates between 200 and 500 cfm depending
on the model of the laser. Stationary lasers integrated into a production
line for marking on a moving product require only point extraction. The airflow
for an extraction nozzle is in general below 100 cfm.
-
Laser
Material
Various materials produce different air contaminations and thus require
different filtration methods.
