There are many manual operations in the assembly industry
which generate fumes that are either toxic or at least bothersome. Fumes or
vapors can irritate the eyes and the respiratory system and reduce the productivity
of the worker with accompanying onset of fatigue.
Protecting the worker from fumes is a two-step process: extracting the fumes and
filtration.
Extraction
IP Flex-Arms are based on a unique ball / socket design which provides an unmatched
flexibility in maneuvering and positioning. Available with three different
nozzle styles.
Exhaust Cabinets are recommended for the control of volatile gases from solvents
and other vapors. Cabinets provide the safest protection for the worker.
Filtration
All filter units have a three-stage filtration: Pre-filter / HEPA filter and Gas
filter. However the filter configuration is sized depending on the predominant
air pollutant (particulates or gases).
Air Inlet Ports: The standard filter unit has four air inlet ports and connects
to 2" and 2.5" diameter hoses.
Optional lids with 4" diameter air inlet ports are available.
